- newly built Hampton Inn located about a mile from the Bennett's home
- newly built Fairfield Inn located about a mile from the Bennett's home
- Holiday Inn Express and Suites with easy access to everything in Puyallup
Places we like to eat:
- See where Dan and Rita had their first date at Casa Mia in downtown Puyallup
- A Bennett favorite Happy Teriyaki Restaurant
- A great new place for good food Crockett's Public House in downtown Puyallup, haven't tried anything we haven't liked.
- Dan's favorite place for breakfast in Puyallup, Auntie B's Cafe.
- For the best banana bread and breakfast around go to the Sun Break Cafe in downtown Auburn
- The wait is long, but worth it, and the portions are huge
- A Tacoma favorite, Frisko Freeze, a fun walk-up burger and shakes place
- I recommend their hot fudge milkshake
- but if you want a really good burger you'll have to drive out to Dan's family's ScaleBurgers in Elbe, WA
- It's the little shack with a green roof across from the train: 54109 Mountain Highway East, Elbe, WA
Things we like to do:
- Hike Mt. Rainier (this is close to a 2 hour trip from Tacoma, but well worth the views)
- See Washington's animals at Northwest Trek
- Experience Puyallup's Farmer's Market (Saturday and Sunday mornings)
- Visit the Tacoma Glass Museum (the bridge is free!)
